Not a diagnosis. Nobody here has examined Robert, and no clinical term appears in this section. This is an interpretation of public behaviour by people who are not their doctor. We publish it because when this much power sits with one person, what drives them stops being a private matter — not to excuse anything, and not to explain it away.

Epstein texted his lawyer he was trying to get Kraft to hire him, 2019 documents show
2019-02-22 · DOJ Epstein files release (Jan.-Feb. 2026 tranche) - Epstein/Jack Goldberger text messages, Feb. 22, 2019
In the Justice Department's most recent tranche of released Epstein records, attorney Jack Goldberger texted Epstein on Feb. 22, 2019: "See kraft got arrested. Should take local news away from us." Epstein replied, "yes im trying to have him hire you." (Kraft was charged that month with misdemeanor solicitation in a Florida spa case; he was not arrested.) The next day, Goldberger texted that Kraft "wants me and my Quinn Emanuel guy to handle" the case, and Goldberger did go on to join Kraft's defense team. Goldberger had earlier represented Epstein in the Florida case that ended in Epstein's 2008 conviction. The solicitation charge against Kraft was ultimately dropped. The Boston Globe reported that the newly released documents contain no direct communication between Kraft and Epstein and no direct reference to the two men being together at any point. A spokesperson for Kraft did not immediately respond to the Globe's request for comment. ALSO NAMED: Jack Goldberger, Brad Karp (remove John Havens — he does not appear in the cited article)
