Not a diagnosis. Nobody here has examined Jamie, and no clinical term appears in this section. This is an interpretation of public behaviour by people who are not their doctor. We publish it because when this much power sits with one person, what drives them stops being a private matter — not to excuse anything, and not to explain it away.

Dimon named in 2009 emails between Epstein and UK minister about a bankers' bonus tax
2009-12-17 · DOJ / Epstein Files Transparency Act email production (Epstein–Mandelson correspondence, December 2009); Sen. Warren letter to Jamie Dimon, July 10, 2026
Emails released by the Justice Department in response to the Epstein Files Transparency Act, and cited in a July 10, 2026 letter from Sen. Elizabeth Warren, ranking member of the Senate Banking Committee, to JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon, record a December 2009 exchange between Jeffrey Epstein and then-UK Business Secretary Peter Mandelson about a proposed 50% tax on bankers' bonuses above £25,000. According to the letter, the correspondence discusses whether Dimon should contact then-Chancellor Alistair Darling about the proposal; the quoted fragments include "amend it, deliver the message personally to (D)imon" and, on a December 17 message about whether Dimon should call Darling again, "mildly threaten." The letter states a call to Darling was reportedly made on December 29, 2009. Dimon is discussed by other people in this correspondence. The released material cited in the letter does not show him writing to or receiving email from Epstein. The letter asks questions and requests information by July 24, 2026; it does not allege wrongdoing by Dimon, and no allegation of wrongdoing against him is contained in the emails. JPMorgan has publicly disputed the characterization of Dimon's involvement. Appearing in or being mentioned in these documents is not evidence of wrongdoing.
